The health and safety of our staff and riders are always our main consideration. With the situation surrounding COVID-19, SCF has taken a decision to suspend the OCBC Cycle National Championship- the individual time trial, criterium and team time trial, scheduled for 21 June, 28 June and 26 July 2020 respectively, and the National Championship for cross country and downhill, on 12 and 19 July 2020.
This is in compliance with the Government’s call to cancel all sporting events which attract 250 participants or more (including officials, spectators as well as participants). Currently the only effective way to contain the continued spread of infection is by practicing social distancing, isolating sick people and the cancelling mass events. As a National Sports Association (NSA), we receive regular updates from Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Health on precautionary measures that we must impose as well as good practices we are obliged to comply with.
