FAQ

1. I am new to BMX racing and would like to try it out before deciding to get a BMX racing bike. Is bike rental available?
BMX bikes are available for rent in limited quantities and sizes. Rental will cost $15/session, and will include a
full-face helmet. Participants will need to come in a long sleeve top and long
pants, with covered shoes and socks. Full fingered gloves, which are readily
available from Decathlon and various stores, are compulsory as well.

2. Why do I need to have a UCI license to join the programmes?
The sport of BMX Racing is inherently dangerous with risks involved. The UCI license comes with a personal accident and liability insurance, that is in force in the unfortunate event of an accident.

3. My child is under 6 years old, where can I get a personal accident plan that will cover cycling?
Parents can contact Great Eastern (Jori Lim – 9180 5581 or Gwendolyn Tan – 9296 9124) to purchase a Personal Accident Plan for kids under 6 years old, at a preferential rate.

4. What happens if it rains?

The wet weather contingency plan may varies depending on each training provider. In the event of a Category 1 lightning alert, the track will be closed. Sessions may continue under shelter, be rescheduled or cancelled. Please check with the training provider for their wet weather policy.
